and habitats: Situated on the edge of the Northern Tablelands, altitude 370 metres. 1 Acre of
bird scaped garden and 3 Acres of tropical rainforest with permanent creek
which connects to the Barron Gorge National Park and world heritage wet tropics
area.
Climate:
Wet
tropical. Temperatures are moderated due to altitude. Mean average temperatures
degrees C; day 28.0, night 19.50. Mean average rainfall 2100 mm, 81% falling
during the build-up and monsoon season December to April.

Environment
and habitats: The area includes a wide range of habits
including, lowland and highland tropical rainforest, wet and dry sclerophyll
forest, tropical savannah, large lakes and wetlands, seasonal and perennial
creeks, rivers, large mangrove forests, the littoral zone with foreshores
including beach, mudflats and rock, agricultural land including pasture, sugar
cane and tropical fruit plantations. Urban areas usually include park and
garden plantings, and street trees attractive to birds.
